Mecha Matsuri
Effective 17 October 2026

Privacy Policy

Mecha Matsuri does not collect any personal data. This page explains what that means in practice.

The game does not

  • Collect, store or share personal information.
  • Ask you to create an account or sign in.
  • Show ads or include advertising, analytics or tracking code.
  • Connect to any server of mine, or to the internet to play.
  • Use your location, camera, microphone, contacts or photos.

The game does

  • Remember your settings (volumes, AI level, graphics) on your device.
  • Use your local network, only when you choose Versus, to find and connect to the other player's device.
  • Use Apple's App Store to sell and restore the Full Version.
  • Read input from controllers, keyboards and touches only while you play.

In detail

Who I am

Mecha Matsuri is made by Rodrigo Schmitt, an independent developer based in Dublin, Ireland ("I", "me"). I am responsible for the game and this policy.

Data stored on your device

The game saves a few preferences, such as the music, effects and menu volumes, the AI level and the graphics quality, in the app's local storage on your device. They never leave the device through the game, and I can't see them. They are deleted when you delete the app. Like any app, they may be included in your device's own backups, which are governed by Apple's privacy policy and your settings.

Versus and your local network

When you open Versus, the game asks your permission to use the local network. It then advertises or looks for a game on your Wi-Fi network using Apple's Bonjour, and sends fight inputs directly between the two devices. Each device sees the other's device name, so you can pick the right game to join. Nothing goes through the internet or through any server, and nothing is recorded. You can turn the permission off at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network; the rest of the game keeps working.

In-app purchases

The Full Version is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and tells the game only whether the purchase is owned, so it can unlock the content. I don't receive your name, email address or payment details. Apple's handling of purchase data is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.

Controllers and input

The game reads buttons, sticks, keys and touches only to control your frame while it is running. That input is not recorded or stored. In a two-device Versus match, your inputs are sent to the other device so it can play the same fight. They are not stored on either device.

Crash reports and statistics from Apple

If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may send me anonymous crash reports and usage statistics, such as how many devices installed the game. Apple collects and aggregates these without identifying you, and you can turn sharing off at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

Children

The game collects no personal data from anyone, including children. Purchases from a child's account follow Apple's Ask to Buy settings.

These pages are hosted on Cloudflare Pages. They use no cookies, analytics or tracking scripts, and the fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse, as described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

If you contact me

If you message me for support, I use what you send only to answer you, and I don't share it with anyone. Messages sent through a third-party platform, such as X, are also subject to that platform's privacy policy.

Your rights

Because the game collects no personal data, there is nothing for me to access, correct or delete. If you have contacted me and want that conversation deleted, ask and I will delete it. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority; in Ireland that is the Data Protection Commission.

Changes

If the game ever starts handling data differently, for example with online play or Game Center, I will update this page and the effective date above before that version is released, and the App Store privacy label will change with it.
