The briefing lists the objectives, and the HUD shows the current one in the top-right corner. Tap or click it to see the whole list. Objectives marked with a lock open once everything above them is done.

Many missions end with one last objective: fly back to the frigate.

Fly back to the frigate and hover low and slow over its aft landing pad. The deck crew refuels and repairs the helicopter to 100% and keeps it topped up while you stay. Ammunition is not restocked on the frigate: winch up ammo crates, or destroy depots, in the field.

Hover low and slow over the pickup. The winch lowers a hook, latches it and hoists it aboard; it counts once it is in the cabin. If you speed off while the hook is still going down, it comes back empty.

Downed pilots wait beside their crashed helicopter and pop orange signal smoke. Other people wait in the open, on life rafts at sea, or locked inside a building until you destroy it. Hover low and slow near them and a rope ladder unrolls. They run to it, nearest first, and climb aboard one at a time; there are six seats. Fly back and hover over the frigate's pad to deliver them.

Speeding off drops whoever is on the rungs back to the ground, unhurt. If the helicopter is lost, everyone aboard is lost with it.

Some radars, SAM sites and towers run off power stations, connected by pylons and wires. Destroy the last station on a grid and its defences go dark. Defences with no wires have their own generators.

• All helicopters were lost (to damage or an empty fuel tank).
• Too few people were left to complete a rescue objective.
• Too many of the places you were defending were destroyed, or the convoy you were escorting was lost.
• A launcher or silo countdown reached zero. A klaxon warns you at 30 seconds.

Mission 1, Operation Dust Veil, is free. One in-app purchase, Full Campaign, unlocks every other mission, including missions added in future updates. There are no subscriptions, no ads and no consumable purchases.

1. Sign in with the same Apple Account you used to buy the Full Campaign.
2. In the main menu, select a locked mission or the unlock offer at the bottom of the mission list.
3. Choose Restore.

Yes. The Full Campaign can be shared with your Family Sharing group. Purchases from a child's account with Ask to Buy show "Waiting for approval", and the missions unlock automatically once the purchase is approved.

Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are too. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the purchase.

• Check that it is paired and connected in your device's Bluetooth settings, and charged.
• Press any button once the game is open; it switches to the controller as soon as it receives input.
• Controllers paired to another device (a console or another iPhone) may reconnect there first. Turn Bluetooth off on that device or pair again.
• The game supports extended gamepads (Xbox, PlayStation and MFi). Single-stick or "micro" controllers don't have enough buttons.

On iPhone and iPad the touch controls hide while a gamepad or mouse is in use, and come back after 8 seconds without gamepad input. Put the controller down, or turn Mouse off in the menu, and they return.

Choose Graphics in the main menu to switch between Low, Medium and High. Low skips the sun shadows and some effects and is designed to stay smooth on Apple TV 4K and iPhone 13. It is the default on iPhone and Apple TV.

• Check Sound in the main menu: it cycles Full, Low and Off, and its icon is crossed out when Off.
• Check the device volume. The game plays even when the iPhone's silent switch is on, and mixes with your own music.

Mouse aiming is off by default. Turn on Mouse in the main menu or pause screen. It is offered on Mac, and on iPad and iPhone while a hardware keyboard is connected. It isn't available on Apple TV.
